Oso Brew Co. “Treasure”
440 ml can coded “BEST BEFORE: BIT01–11/25” and sampled on 28 NOV 2023
Notes via stream of consciousness: This is a collaboration brew with Althaia and Bubbles. I can tell that it doesn’t have much carbonation as I pour it and no real head is forming. What’s there is off-white over a mainly clear reddish-amber colored body. The aroma is bready, toasty, and fruity with apple and pear. The flavor follows with a touch of golden caramel, biscuity character, and some leafy and woody hops. A median bitterness balances it and it finishes dry, toasty, and leafy. The body is light to light-medium, and it’s smooth with a moderate carbonation of around two volumes of C02 per liter. All in all it’s a very good interpretation of a British cask bitter that’s heavily toasty.
