Oso Brew Co. “Citrus”
33 cl can coded “30500323Y13 1207/24”. Sampled on 24/11/2023
Notes: This a simple beer made up of a simple malt base that’s golden and sweetish and Citrusy hops. Are those hops Citra? Are they Mandarina Bavaria? Perhaps both, but not necessarily. Oh, wait, it’s actually written on the label, the ingredients listed are naranja (orange), limon, Hell Melon, and Mandarina Bavaria! So it’s real fruit? That’s cool. I didn’t get the melon from the Huell Meloin at first but I get it now. It’s plenty fruity, and the malt makes for a sweet blanket for the fruit to bounce off of. It’s big in flavor given it’s 4% ABV, and sweet, citrusy, moderately bitter, and then dry in the finish with citrus lingering. This is a very easy to drink beer! In the mouth it’s medium bodied and crisp, and the head held up well and there’s some very nice lacing left behind. I wasn’t expecting much as this is a slightly lower alcohol beer but it’s actually quite fantastic and very refreshing!
