In this episode of The Madrileño: a highly drinkable beer that's a bit drier than its predecessors. We've used significant amounts of Simcoe, Citra, and Mosaic in the dry hop to give it a rounded, fruity, and citrusy character. To be continued...

Copenhagen 1/5 2022. 44 cl can from Mikkeller web-shop. Drawing of a sad, bewildered lonely-looking grey Bear on the can. From Madrid, I presume.
Pours opaque hazy golden yellow with a mid-sized white head. Settles as thin, flimsy layer of foam struggling to cover the surface of the beer. Crawling up the sides of the glass. No lacing to speak of.
Aroma is intense with a sweet malty and a bit boozy odor mingling with citric fumes. Sweet pale malts, alcohol and hints of exotic fruits. Mango and peach. Subdued notes of lemon and lime.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, slightly viscous, soft, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is intense with a strong sweetness followed by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a notable sweet undertone. Lingering. Finish is semi-dry.
Potent, well-balanced showcase for alcohol and hops. No reason to be sad, grey Bear.
