I visited Scamp Brewing last weekend while exploring Auburn. When I visited, they had 7 beers on tap, including a couple imperial stout variations and a couple strong ale variations, as well as a scotch ale -- all pretty heavy-hitting beers. They also had a citra hefeweizen, but their 3 IPAs were all out of stock. The tap list is rounded out with 2-3 guest handles.
I had a taster tray, and the beer quality was really good! Granted, these were mostly imperial stouts and strong ales (for which they have won some awards), but the citra hefeweizen was good as well. I will have to come back one day to try out their IPAs.
The build out is pretty sparse, but they have games and a bar that seats about 6. The brewhouse is right around the corner behind the bar, so you can see it's a working brewery. Service was excellent up at the bar, had a great talk with one of the owners. I really do intend to come back!
