12oz can from Toby. Murky, dark golden pour looks like pear nectar, small foamy head dissolves. Fruity aroma, citrusy, stone fruit. Taste brings more fruit with a little added tang. Zesty, thick.

from a 6-pack picked up at Growlers on Main in Polson, MT; first experience w/ Missouri River; 38 ibu
12oz can poured into a Bissell Brothers pint

p- opaque orange; small white head; fairly quick recession
n- soft; light citrusy notes
t- citrus, pine, and a touch of vanillin, carried by a light-med toasted malt body; some zingy peel notes in there as well; light-med bitterness in fin; some grassy notes as well; decent
mf- light-med bodied; med-high carb; a touch on the thin side
o- this round was missing some pop for me (as I've had a few cans from this 6-pack already), but still a solid beer; may just be one that fades quickly? would have again if I found a fresh batch, nonetheless

Found this at a street beer and bbq competition. I usually try to sample various different beers when at event like this but after having my first glass of this I kinda got stuck on it. On a 90 degree day walking around out in the sun, it made my day much more enjoyable.

never even heard of these guys before this one, was excited to see and try something new showing up here, man the montana scene is just blowing up like crazy. super impressive first impression here, very well refined, fresh, and unique, great proportions, clean ferment, well defined hop profile thats actually kind of uncommon, i wish i knew what they used, but this kind of caught me by surprise, usually dont love this sort of thing, and lots of room for it to be not great from a newer operation, but its amazing. simple grain base, fuller bodied and smooth but also dry and without a ton of flavor to it, just fine in this sort of beer. the hops shine, and they should, pineapple and papaya and coconut and kiwi fruit notes to me, all swirled together, a little melon, very ripe and juicy, fresh orange to it, not at all oversaturated, nothing green or bitey, no real bitterness either, there is some real professional execution here, and it seems more refined overall than most of them, to me really good, and it makes me excited to check out the brewery when i am in this part of montana this fall, looking forward to trying their other flavors, this is really promising. these guys seem cool and this is way better than average in this style!

edit: this felt a little heavier and less vibrant to me the second time around, a little less expert, still juicy and with a cool hop profile, but maybe not as well executed overall. leaving scores in place, but maybe some inconsistency happening here, or maybe their cans arent quite dialed in yet...
