really ambitious beers in here. this one is an imperial ipa, kind of half way between clear and hazy to me, with a frothy white head on top. its done in the mimosa style, i believe suggesting there is orange in it, my guess is the white wine element comes from the hops, which definitely smell and taste southern hemisphere here, green grapes and green apples with them, kiwi fruit, and this is pretty effervescent like champagne, and its boozy enough to almost drink like a cocktail, so i think they actually got pretty close with this. my issue is the residual sugar, this is way too sweet to want to drink more than a small pour of, alcohol aside, its like candy, delicious with the hops and the citrus, and actually approximates a mimosa pretty effectively while still being an ipa, thats hard to do, but they should have dried it out quite a bit more. the malt is really light so the hops really pop in here. the orange element is natural to me too, nicely dosed, and overall there is a lot to like here. they could really dial this one in next batch and have something pretty cool. this place is rad though, tons of beers, tons of creativity, definitely an awesome addition to the scene there. really impressive brewery visit!
