I had this beer on-tap at the brewery in a tulip glass.
Appearance: light golden hue with a dash of haze and a thin layer of ivory foam atop.
Smell: sweet malt with a bit of a tang to it. Not quite as smooth as I like the style to be.
Taste: sweet, slightly cloying malt. There’s a little bit of attractive orchardy flavor here, but it’s kind of hard to beat the alcohol heat.
Mouthfeel: medium-rich body with a good carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: I mean, it’s not the worst tripel out there. It just lacks finesse.
