I got two bottles of this beer at the brewery. I like barleywine.
Poured into a tulip glass. Slightly murky golden brown color with a brief, effervescent head and decent lacing. Interesting herbal and rustic smell and taste. Warm herbs like rosemary and sage but also a rustic root beer quality. There is a warming toffee background that keeps it rooted in the style. Light for a barleywine but with 13% ABV care must be taken as it drinks very easily. I have grown to like the beers from this brewery.
