About as classic west coast pale ale as you can get. Hops are
present but not overpowering, color is a deep coppery gold, it finishes clean and
is just exactly the beer you want it to be. Turns out this lowkey underdog is the
beer you never knew you needed.

Just added this beer to this Next Glass database. I had the beer about 6 months ago, but I'm the first one reviewing it and adding it to the database, about 1,000 miles from where it occurred. One of the good things about being next to a great brewery (Jester King) is you can play your opening and closing hours around theres, and that is what got me here, Jester King didn't open for another hour. I had already played disc golf in the morning and sweat my ass off.

Pours copper. Darker "pale" ale appearance. Commercial tug job talks of west coast ipa, but its maltier like an English ipa. 1/2" off white head. Maltiness in the aroma over hops. Crystal and rye malts make it thicccc.

Taste pushes caramel and bittering hops. Cascade giving that rind and pine in addition to the 100 year old toffee notes. Simcoe just amps it up, doesn't really go beyond that initial pine bitter feeling. Its a decent beer beyond the disappointing hop one trick pony of bitterness. The place is huge and the bartenders were friendly.
