Pours a cloudy, golden coloration with a small, fluffy head. Smells of biscuity malt and citrus hops, with notes or orange rind, as well as some herbal mint notes as well. Taste is a good balance of biscuity malt and fruity, herbal hops, with citrus and lighter tropical notes of Bergamot orange, pineapple, mint and eucalyptus. Finishes with a light/medium bitterness and some orange and mint lingering in the aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel with a light/medium body and carbonation.
I think that Polaris is a really interesting hop variety and it certainly comes through very nicely here with those zesty citrus and herbal mint/eucalyptus notes that almost have a certain menthol quality to them, making for a flavor profile that feels rather fresh and unique. While it feels just a tad light-bodied and I would have also whished for those Polaris hops to come through even more vibrantly here, overall this still makes for a rather enjoyable example of a style that I'm not usually a huge fan of, with a very interesting and unique flavor profile.
