When visiting family nearby I heard about this new brewery so we decided to check them out. It appears that the brewery is starting on a small budget because the surroundings are spartan and small. Only one table with chairs is indoors so outside seating on nice weather days is the only other option. Several large 'boxes' make up most of the tables outdoors, and they appear to be repurposed from something else. Each has a large umbrella. Beer is ordered at an inside counter.
There were 8 beers on tap so we ordered sampler-sized glasses of each. A Blonde, a Brown, a Strong Ale, a Dubbel, a Porter, an XPA, and a Golden Coffee Stout. I liked the Strong Ale and the Blonde (I usually don't like this style) although as the Blonde warmed it wasn't as tasty. The rest of the beers were just okay except for the XPA. It wasn't good and I don't know how to describe what the brewing error could be.
There is no food available other than some light snacks (we had popcorn and jerky), but a food truck comes some days. Growlers are available to-go. House soda is available along with guest kombucha, mead and wine. This place may struggle to get going, but it's worth stopping to give their beers a try. Just ask for a sample first.
