Moor’s IPA is crisp, providing a subtle piney taste in the front, lightly perfumed with the scent of ruby red grapefruit peels and resolves with honey malt notes.

16oz can.
L: Orange/amber colour with a light haze, a few streams of bubbles and two fingers of off-white, cream head that leaves spotty lacing. Beautiful colour.
S: Very faint malt aroma. Otherwise, nothing.
T: Sweet orange marmalade and soft resin. Low/medium bitterness.
F: Medium body with some oiliness and a soft mouthfeel that becomes more rich over time.
O: An understated, old school AIPA. Not overpowering, not overblown. Nicely crafted and easy-drinking.

Canned 10/13/21; drank 6/25/22 (not fresh, but I'm not sure this will ever be produced again, so this was my best shot).
Cloudy orange appearance.
A violent pour yielded a big, noisy eggshell head; a thick curtain of tree-rung lace.
Baking soda & orange soda notes in the nose.
Medium thick, sticky mouthfeel.
Baking soda & orange soda flavors up front; some soap notes on the finish.
Maybe it was better fresh, but I highly doubt I would have enjoyed it. Old model IPA obsolescence.

Pours a coppery orange, little head. Nose is grapefruit and light pine. Taste is unremarkable. Not bad, just nothing that makes me want to finish the can, mush less buy it again.

16 oz. can dated 9/2/2021.
Dark orange with ample foam and lasting head, great retention.
Smells like caramel malt, where are the hops?
Taste is a little more citrus forward, orange and grapefruit, moderate bitterness followed by caramel malt sweetness, bread crusts, and butterscotch. Medium bodied and a little sticky. Objectively the beer is okay, an average IPA from the pre-haze times. Too much caramel malt, likely diacetyl. Needs work. One and done for me, but i’m looking forward to trying their imperial porter.
Strangely, there’s a fair amount of historical misinformation on the label that can easily be debunked with a google search. Tariq Ibn Ziyad was a Berber war general that invaded Spain, there’s no evidence that he singlehandedly “introduced a brewing and distillation process to the European culture”. Beer and brewing existed in Spain centuries before 711 AD, known as “Caelia”.
Distillation technology was later used in industry, but distillation and brewing are two different things. What the label describes as “Al-Kuhl” refers to kohl, a lead based eye shadow cosmetic, even though it kinda sorta sounds like “alcohol”. This was related to a debunked myth on facebook a few years ago. This whole half-baked origin story really makes zero sense on a beer label, especially when passed off as historical facts.
