On draught at the brewery. 16 oz. pour served in a shaker glass. It pours a clear, honey-yellow color with a big, frothy, eggshell-colored head and spotty lacing with excellent retention. The smell is rather subdued and is malty with whiffs of pine needles and tart citrus. Its taste opens with dry, crackery malt balanced by lemon peel and grapefruit rind. The Simcoe hops add notes of pine and the Amarillo provides clean bitterness. There is also a strong earthy, grassy taste. The mouth feel is crisp and lite with appropriate carbonation, and it drinks quite easily at 7% ABV. Overall, Fantasy is a good local rendition of the West Coast style which I quite enjoyed.
