From the half liter bottle, it pours a slightly hazy deep amber color with a large, thick, long lasting white head that slowly reduces and leaves thick lacing. The nose gets a bit of caramel scent and roasted malts. The mouth gets a slightly sweetish malt flavor that is pleasant and drinkable.

Pours a deep, dark golden amber coloration with a large foamy head and slightly visible carbonation. Smells of sweet, doughy, caramel malt, with just a hint of grass. Taste follows the nose, being dominated by the sweet, doughy, caramel malts, with just a tiny hint of grassy hops and fruity esters coming though as well. Finishes bittersweet, with a light bitterness and some caramel malt and fruity esters lingering in the aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.
This seems rather poorly balanced, being way too much on the sweet, caramelly side, with the very light, grassy hops not providing enough of a counterpoint and the light fruity esters do not help matters here and seem rather displaced.

Yields a clear amber color with a big, bubbly white head.
Smells of sweet toffee malts with some underlying straw and lemon zest.
Has a soft, light and overly sweet mouthfeel, which leaves the beer somehow in a drinkable state.
Tastes of earth and toffee malts, a whiff of straw, while then offering taste defining sweet malts. Finishes soft with a short but required hop dryness, adding some complexity to the dominant sweetness.
Pretty one dimensional sweet with nothing else going on other than showcasing toffee, almost caramel sweet, malts hoping for some balance.

Half litre bottle, poured into pint shaker.
A: Golden, a bit of a haze, small thin head which quickly realized it had somewhere else to be, a small amount of lacing clung to the side of the glass.
S: Faint fruity aroma, hints of grass.
T: Malt and barley sugar, fairly long sweet finish, slight notes of apple and charcoal.
M: Minimal carbonation, thick texture.
O: Started off promisingly, faded slightly, not bad just a standard Kellerbier from the region, I think this could be really good on draught.

500ml bottle.
Hazy amber brown colour, very white head that dissipated quickly but never quite disappeared, clung to the glass throughout. Slightly muddy appearance not very appealing, but looking in to the style this is characteristic of this style.
Aroma is malty with a bit of citrus. Possibly a touch of banana as well.
Cant sense many hops coming through. Not very bitter almost sweet in places.
Dried fruits, possibly apricot.
Nice carbonation, lovely mouthfeel and quite dry.
Overall very drinkable with no particular flavors standing out.

Had on-tap at Tapas Bar in Bamberg, Germany.
This Kellerbier poured a slightly hazy, amber brown color, with tall, creamy, fluffy, white foam that persisted and clung to the glass. The smell was modest: malt and a touch of citrus. The taste was malty with a hint of sweetness and with mild hoppiness in the finish. The mouthfeel was crisp with medium body and good carbonation. It was dry overall with light hoppiness and a hint of sweetness in the finish. This was an OK beer, not bad.
