12 oz can undated but likely up to 2 months old
Pours a darkened gold to amber color with a very foamy head that settles down quickly. Lacing is spotty.
Aroma is sweet and moderate with tones of grapefruit, biscuit, maybe some stone fruit. It has a somehwat strong alcohol scent when it warms up a bit that muddles the more fragile tones.
Taste follow the smell with the toffee and caramel notes coming through first on a malt-forward wave that gives way to a stone fruit hop flavor with biscuit tones.
Feel is a little sticky with the sweet malt. Bitterness is moderate to low. It feels full bodied but delivers on the hop flavor very well.
Overall this is a pleasant beer. I think it is a bit too sweet for its own good, but then some people may really enjoy that. Maybe a little more bitterness at the end could balance that off. Not the kind of beer I would want to drink a six pack of as it is pretty filling with the heavy sweetness, but it is a good one-off treat.

From the can dated 03-17-17. Sampled on April 29, 2017.
It pours a somewhat murky, unfiltered medium amber with a tremendous white foamy head. Some sediments.
The aroma has a nice sweet caramel and toffee malt character with a slight citrus and pine note underneath. The hops are not in my face.
Medium body.
The taste has the same level of caramel and toffee malt sweetness running all the way through it but then the dry bitterness kicks into high gear and lingers on the palate.

Poured into a 13 oz Weyerbacher tulip glass not sure when it was canned and is now 6.5% ABV. Pours a very attractive slightly cloudy orange with an attractive sticky white head, that leaves behind plenty of lace.
Smell is floral hops, tangerine, apricot, honey, and grapefruit.
Taste follows apricot, tangerine, earthy floral hops, pine, biscuit, and grapefruit.
Mouthfeel is a little bigger than medium, plenty of life, not dry, and excellent drinkability.
Overall this is a solid IPA a little more malt than I preffer, but a nice balanced beer with nice flavors.

Poured from a 12 oz can with no date. Hobbs started canning just a few days prior to this review so the beer is definitely fresh.
Pours a hazy, orange amber color with a 2 finger soapy white head. The head is gone quickly but leaves some clingy lacing as it dissipates.
The aroma is dank and citrusy. Lots and lots of grapefruit, some orange peel, and a ton of pine on the back end.
The flavor is a bit more malt forward, but there's a good amount of dry bitterness. Pine and citrus all the way to the end.
The feel is medium-bodied with moderate to moderate-light carbonation. A bit sticky, and a tad on the dry side. Still refreshing and highly drinkable.
Overall, a solid all-around IPA. It's extremely drinkable and has plenty of balance. Not much else to say.

Expected much more for the alcohol volume and price. Was very disappointed.

$15 growler from the source.
Pours clear gold with a thin head of white. A few streaks of lacing and wisps on the surface for the duration.
Aromatics lead off a fairly moderate waft of modern-style hops. Shades of dankness with some citrus fruit and some faint pine. A hint of chewable aspirin. Amarillo and Simcoe perhaps.
Medium bodied with a somewhat tacky, resinous mouthfeel. A bit flat in carbonation. Almost cask-like.
More hops on the palate with a hint of malt. Fairly dry except for the juicy hops. Tropical fruit with dank grass and low bitterness.
Finishes with lingering citrus fruit and dank hops.
Nice beer. Quaffable and a nice combo of hops. More finishing hops and carbonation would bring this beer to the next level.

Bready maltiness with citrus and pine. some grassy raw hop cone notes become a bit distracting.
