Tap at New England Taphouse
Dark brown with great clarity and a thin off white head that persists. Citrus and earth on the nose with bits of roasty bready and light chocolate. Flavor follows the aroma quite well and adds a hint of caramel. Pretty tasty beer.

Growler from the source.
Pours dark chestnut with an off-white head and decent lacing.
Roast with mild citrus way underneath in the nose. Hints of chocolate and coffee. Medium bodied with a light chew. Citrus and roast on the palate. Faint orange and grapefruit with a light Porter character. Finishes with lingering roast and faint hops.
More hops please.

Poured on draft into a glass shaped like a can. Pours a very dark brown with a 2 finger off white head that leaves behind plenty of lace, as it settles into a thin layer of bubbles.
Smell is pine, cocoa, grapefruit, and some hints of coffee.
Taste follows very aggressive pine and grapefruit with some light cocoa and coffee in the aggressive and fairly bitter finish.
Mouthfeel is a little bigger than medium, plenty of prickly carbonation, a touch dry.
Overall this is a very good Black IPA, that brewer claim to have 101 IBUS. Well done look for this brewery in the future good beer, atmosphere, and excellent food.
