This one falls short on a number of aspects of the style for me. Overall a passable beer and I almost stopped yesterday when I was in North Conway to try on tap to see if it's better than canned given prior reviews.

Pours a lovely copper color with a half inch head. I am not usually a fan of Octoberfest beers because they're too sweet but this one avoids that pitfall. It's sweet, but not cloyingly so - there's a little hoppiness on the tail that balances it out nicely. This is the best Octoberfest I've tried so far. Canned on 08/03/2022 - gets my recommendation.

From a can sampled Sept 26, 2021.
Tis the season and it pours a medium amber color under a modest off-white head.
Aroma is sweet and caramel malt forward with an emphasis on the breadiness. Maybe a little earthy.
Light-medium mouthfeel.
Great sweet malt flavor makes it easy to enjoy. Although I do enjoy the Marzen style in general. Balanced finish.

Had on tap. Pours clear, amber in color with one quarter inch head. Taste is big crusty bread, cracker and earthy hops. Medium body and carbonation, sweet. Excellent American version of style. Could drink all day.
