16 oz can, dated 11/29/23 but just picked up at the brewery 2 weeks ago
Pours black with a tan colored head that eventually fades. Aroma is roasty dark cocao but also very oaky. Much more woody oak than smooth bourbon. Similar taste, with dry finish. Fuller bodied.

Absolutely fantastic presentation. You couldn't ask for better in a double digit ABV BA imperial stout.
Very reminiscent of barrel aged Old Rasputin, although a bit milder and smoother. Same concept for the profile: red grape, prune, oak, whiskey, alcohol, char, burnt coffee. Really hits the spot if you're looking for a bitter, roasty BA imperial stout - without a thousand additives.
Really lovely beer.

From a 16 fl. oz. can dated 11/12/21. Sampled Feb 18, 2022.
The appearance is on target with its dark brown to jet black appearance and mocha head that fades.
The aroma is dark and rich roasted malts, chocolate, cream, wood, and a hint of alcohol.
It is a high medium to full mouthfeel and smooth.
The taste brings out the sweet, rich dark malts and chocolate with less cream and more booze. I get a bigger booze bite in the flavor but it is warming at the end. Just a tad boozy for me.
