Blue Marlin Coffee Stout is also made and sold by Hobbs in New Hampshire, but I've never tried the US version for comparison. Also, I tend to avoid stouts in tropical weather and because I don't find them sessionable as a rule.
That said, this is a damned good stout that would pair well with a damned good meal. Decent head and lacing.
Look: cloudy cola. Needs a good light to see through.
Smell: coffee (oh, there's a shock!), Irish creme and caramel.
Taste: coffee, burnt biscuit and a touch of sugar.
Feel: not quite as substantial as the look and smell suggest, but defiitely up there.
May be my favourite legit stout to date—especially since many "stouts" in Belize are just brown beer.
