16 oz can from Scrooges which is just a few miles from the brewery. At 7% ABV, it is seems acceptable to classify this as a Doppelbock.
Appearance. Clear, dark copper colored body with a good off-white head.
This is certainly one of the best smelling Dunkel Bocks I've encountered.
It has a really fine mix of spicy hops and sweet malts in both the flavor and the aroma, and it has a lingering, mildly hoppy aftertaste of dark roasted grains.
Good cold but got bolder and a bit better with some warming.
