16oz can. Bottom stamp is '3194 07:17'. Label says brewed by Petosi Brewing Company in Petosi WI.
Black colored body with a mahogany brown back lit edge. Solid two finger light tan head. Leaves behind interrupted horizontal rings of lacing.
Aroma of roasted malts, with hints of chocolate, coffee, caramel, and vanilla.
Taste is roasted malts which are made sweeter by vanilla. Flavors of chocolate, coffee, and caramel. Has a real chocolate/coffee swirl in the aftertaste.
A little less than medium mouthfeel. Some bit of a metallic note (from oats). Bitterness from the coffee but balanced by the vanilla. Very good carbonation.
Sweeter porter because of the vanilla but has a good coffee and dark chocolate bite.

Smell is enticing: vanilla custard, malts, some marascino cherry. The body is thinner, with a satisfying, bitter malt made up of dark chocolate and that same vanilla custard from the smell. Not bad, satisfying and hits the spot for what it is, even if it's not too complex or intense.

I tried this beer at the brewery whilst in the area on Biznet. It poured a nearly opaque dark amber with very thin off white head that did not leave much lace. The scent had hints of vanilla. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with subtle roast and vanilla presence. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with smooth carbonation. Overall it was a decent beer.
