Had on tap. Woah. This was the surprise of the night, an incredible beer! Opaque reddish brown body with a tan head and lacing. Getting clove, orange, baking spices, dark fruits, and dry yeast in the nose with a caramel malt backbone. This is one of the best tasting winter warmers I have ever had, big dry english styled yeast and caramel malt combine with some toast to set the stage for clove, orange, pineapple, fig, plum, general dark fruit, baking spices including a kiss of cinnamon, and a hint of biscuit. Complex and so tasty. Feel is frothy and full yet leans lighter in the body. Smooth and warming, hides booze so well, clove is a great adjunct texture here playing with the yeast.
