This brewery is fairly new, and located in the former Lionstone Brewery in Geneseo, IL. They have since moved to Clinton, IA.
Modern interior with concrete floors and high ceilings, the bar is towards the back with a chalkboard beer list overhead. An outdoor seating area was partially shaded with a few picnic tables, this seemed to be an ideal area to retreat to in warmer weather.
The brewpub appeared to be wildly popular during the weekend lunch hour, with a line out the door. All patrons inside were maskless during the indoor state mask mandate, and the tables were really crammed in. The staff seemed to be handling the busy crowd but were also clearly overworked. We opted for a few samples and just grabbing beer to go. The to-go coolers were oddly located right inside the front double door vestibule. Prices were a bit high, nothing was marked. I was charged $23+ for a 12 oz. sixer of Festbier and a single can of Witbier. Not sure what happened there.
The seasonal Festbier was a highlight, well made and true to style. Selection ran the gamut of styles, from California Common to NEIPA, English Brown, DDH West Coast IPA, Oatmeal Stout, Mexican Lager, and NA sodas as well. Based on the beers I tried, a second visit post-pandemic is in the cards, but it will have to be during off hours.
