I first saw this at 'Taste of DC' in the Biergarten area. Having just been in Bavaria a few months prior, I found this to be a pretty good example of the style. Saw it once again at Beer World in Towson, MD and that bottle wasn't AS impressive, but still compelling.
Looked acceptable when poured, a nice foamy head, smelled and tasted 'fresh' with a good balance of malt and yeast. Hoping they get some market traction here. While lacking the crisp perfection of Weihenstaphaner, Augustiner, or other examples, it still satisfies.

In fairness this beer is 1 month beyond its best before date, but I'm not sure if I had this fresher it would be a saving grace. For Helles Lagers, this one was the worst I've had to date. I drank about 4-5 oz and drainpoured the rest and moved on to a better beer.

Transparent golden body, effervescent, with an inch of white head. Aromas of grain, lager yeast, Germanic goodness. Lovely flavor. Clean and refreshing. Winning.
