Bottles just sitting on the shelf at Total Wine in Towson, MD. Don't know nothing about it, but if you put the word "Fatty" in your product's name, I'm gonna buy it.
Pours fairly dark and hazy for the style, with a large and retentive bone-white head.
Smells... a little aged, but pleasantly so. A quite robust aroma for a 4.7% pils. Grass, big bread dough, nobel hops.
Tastes like it smells, which is it say pretty darn good. Pils grains up front, hay and grass, with floral hops and doughy yeast sweeping in near the middle and really taking over by the finish. Not exactly a perfect pils--there's plenty of noise on the back end--but it's nice all throughout and packs a nicely complex flavor for a beer of its strength.

I picked up 2 beers for my train ride from Dresden to Wien. Both were excellent, but this one was better. The name is slightly different, and it has a new label with a cute dog on it, but I'm quite sure it's the "Pilsener".
Notes: Crystal clear straw gold body. Full head bright white. Excellent head retention and lacing. Fresh aroma of lightly doughy, straw-like and grassy Pils malt. Light floral/noble hops. The flavor is stronger and the hops stand out more but remain the same - floral/grassy, and gently spicy. Bitterness is moderate, more a "helles" than a German Pils. (Fattigau is in Bayern, about halfway between Munich and Berlin). Really nice malt component. Nicely balanced. Finishes dry with some lingering hop notes. Easily drinkable in quantity. 5*** Very good.

Bottle acquired from a corner store in Leipzig, Germany. Poured into a halleroder mini (.3L) Stein in Leipzig. Reviewed live. Advertised with a green "Bioland Okologischer Landbrau" stamp, leading me to believe it is a bio beer.
A: Five finger head of no cream, bad thickness, and decent retention. Clear yellow colour. Transparent. Relatively few carbonation bubbles.
Sm: Light barley scent. That's it. Very simple and not particularly appealing.
T: Full barley with a cream climax and lingering finish. Very simple yet refreshing. Not at all bold or interesting. I'm bored after the first sip. It's balanced but uninspired.
Mf: Smooth and wet until the climax, which introduces a tingly coarseness that is quite delightful and perhaps the best aspect of this beer.
Dr: Relatively low ABV, not particularly good, and excellently priced. A decent beer for a night in with the lads, but not good if you care about what you're drinking.
