Stanwood Artisanal Ale Lager (SAAL) Brewing Co.

I visited SAAL last weekend while passing through Stanwood. They had 4 house beers on tap, 2 IPAs an amber and a blonde, plus 8 guest beers and about 13 guest ciders and hard kombuchas. Of the beers I had, the hazy IPA was legitimately quite good, and the blonde ale likewise: crisp yet sweet and a good execution of the style. I’m actually a bit disappointed they don’t have more different offerings to try.

Taproom is in a historic building, and the place is clean and welcoming with a rural sensibility, although the bar itself is industrial stainless steel. Couple of TVs, though they are off at the moment. Also a decent sized outdoor area. The service is good and friendly up at the bar. They have a kitchen as well; I had a turkey melt and tots and it was totally fine. Not exceptional, but nothing wrong with it.
