€4,10/,5L vom fass @ Gasthaus Bischenberg, Sasbachwalden, DE
Look: Crystal clear deep gold beneath a full head of dense white foam. Very good head retention and lacing with large splashes and spot left behind throughout the glass.
Smell: Herbal hops and grainy/grassy Pilsner malt. Very clean.
Taste: As the aroma suggests. It's lightly sweetish and bready, threaded through with a solid bitterness and herbal hops. A stiff bitterness balances it and it finishes dry. Fading herbal hops linger shortly.
Feel: Medium bodied and crisp.
Overall: A really well brewed Pilsner that's superbly balanced and rounded.
