Poured from a crowler into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a moderately hazy, medium golden amber with a two finger white head with great retention and thick lacing. Aroma of pale malt, tropical fruit hops, tangerine, mango, passion fruit and mild light stone fruit. Flavor follows, with pale malt, tropical fruit and dank hops, passion fruit, mango, tangerine, mild peach and a touch of pine in the finish. Medium bodied with moderate creaminess; nice mouth feel. Normally, I try not to review hazy IPAs for a new-to-me brewery as they are not my style, however this small brewery does not can so I stopped by for crowlers and got to taste several ales. They did not seem to have a standard WC IPA at the time, so gave this a taste and really liked it. It's only moderately haze, but has classic hazy IPA tropical fruitiness. Bitterness is moderate, but just assertive enough to keep my interest. I like it as a taster and enjoyed a full glass. Lots of fruit notes, but also some serious alpha oil hop character and a bit of pine in the finish, which won me over. Excellent mouth feel. A fine introduction to the brewery. Looking forward to my other choice, an altbier.
