The middle Rhein region is a beautiful place to visit, and Bacharach is a little bit of a sleep town to stop and relax in. There's wine, of course, but there's also beer, and that's to be found at the Kleines Brauhaus Bacchusbräu.
I'm not sure what the exact situation is, but they seem to work together with a theater that puts on shows and music on the terrace that overlooks the Rhein. There's also a large, old carousel that contains enclosed seating when the weather's poor.
They offer 4 beers year-round which includes a doppelbock (that's unheard of as a regular beer!), a dunkel, a hefeweizen, and a Pils. They also offer at least one seasonal, which is a summer beer (they may offer more).
The food is the usual stuff (wurst and whatnot), and not fancy but good. You can see the kitchen from where you're sitting.
It's a charming place with old carnival type items around, and inside the carousel it's quite comfortable but the terrace overlooking the Rhine is really the place to be if the weather's nice.
If you happen to visit Bacharach, which I would recommend, I'd suggest you stop by and have a beer.
