Pours a hazy, pale orange coloration with a small, fluffy head. Smells of biscuity malt and citrus/tropical/berry hops, with notes of grapefruit, papaya and gooseberry. Taste is a great balance of biscuity malt and fruity, juicy, slightly herbal and bitter hops, with citrus, tropical and lighter berry notes of grapefruit, orange peel, papaya, mango and gooseberry, as well as some herbal accents. Finishes with a medium bitterness and some grapefruit, mango and gosseberry lingering in the aftertaste. Soft mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.
A very nice New England Pale Ale that strikes a great balance between fruity, juicy and bitter, herbal hops. I really like the combination of quite zesty citrus, sweeter tropical and slightly acidic berry notes, with those hops really popping here and leaving quite a distinct impression. Body and mouthfeel are also rather pleasant for the ABV, feeling soft and full. Overall, this makes for a very enjoyable example of the style with a vibrant hoppiness, great balance and good body and mouthfeel.
