Funk Soul Brewers "Burst Generator"
,330ml brown glass bottle coded "MINDESTENS HALTBAR BIS ENDE 11.21 A" and sampled on 2.10.2021.
Look: Hazy amber beneath a short head of white foam. Better than average head retention and very good lacing.
Smell: Not particularly strong for a New England style IPA but OK. Notes of orange, mild grapefruit, berries, pine, and spiciness.
Taste: Grainy malt with some caramel and hoppy notes of orange, berries, and pine. Aggressively bitter leading to a long lingering dry finish with pine and bitterness hanging on for some time.
Feel: Medium bodied and crisp.
Overall: Very bitter for a NEIPA, really more of a west coast IPA.
