Brewed to honor Christian Koch, who perished along with Steve Skoda and Danny Prial in a helicopter accident while on duty in Western NY. Four beers were brewed by Brindle Hous, Heroes, Rising Storm, and Triphammer.
Christian Koch was one of the toughest and genuine people to serve the United States in Charlie 171 Unit. He was everyone's best friend, because he made them feel that way; always willing to listen, never forgetting a birthday or sharing a kind comment. As important as the the Army was to Christian, nothing compared to the love he found in his children, his wife, and his role as a bonus dad. He was their Captain America.
"Christian was in the prime of his life and he will never be forgotten. He now soars with eagles and is flying in the most pristine conditions. God Speed. Rest in Peace Captain America."

Fine, spotty lace is deposited on a Steigle stange after a brief, white foam retreats from one inch. The beer below has a cloudy, gold complexion (SRM4-6).
The aroma is reminiscent of Ritz crackers, with clean straw behind it. Otherwise, it is neutral, simple, and crisp.
The flavor is filled with grains and a crisp, well-balanced sweetness and bitterness. All of this is a bit modest. The finish is initially mild, then builds as it lingers for a while. Warmth brings out lemon peel, which is quite pleasant, as it amplified the bitterness.
This has a medium body with a coarse texture, similar to canvas. Light alcohol and ample, fizzy carbonation are as expected.
CW4 Koch is a good drinking beer for a great cause. I enjoyed it on a cold, wet, mid-Autumn day. It would be a good choice while chatting with friends and eating corn dogs.
