An aroma of dark and chocolate malts, complemented by the delicate yet unmistakable scent of vanilla. The flavor profile starts with just enough dark malt notes of chocolate and coffee to balance the sweet flavor of vanilla. A moderate bitterness from hops and roasted malts provides enough backbone to not lead to a cloyingly sweet finish.

On tap at Fattey Beer Company in Rochester, NY.
This one pours a fairly dark black color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells like milk chocolate, primarily, with some artificial vanilla.
This was a bit too average, or below average, as the vanilla flavors are kind of artificial tasting, and just too sweet. The base porter itself is also too sweet, mostly milk chocolatey, with very little roast character.
This is medium bodied, too sweet, and not super drinkable.
This is my first beer from Heroes, as I’ve never really heard anything good about them.
