BBA Imperial STout with Strawberry and Vanilla. Served fairly cold into a chalice. Canned September 26, 2022.
Appearance - Black brew with nice two finger head. Impressive staying power for near 11% brew.
Smell - Hints of bourbon, chewy molasses and some strawberry notes and hints of vanilla. Big roasty brew underneath the initial aromas.
Taste - Molasses and licorice, bitter and boozy with wood and lots of bourbon. Strawberry and vanilla subdued but the vanilla is a little more present.
Mouthfeel - Huge full body and thick with light carbonation. On point for the style.
Overall - Really solid BBA stout, even if the vanilla and strawberry are muddled especially in flavor. The rest of the brew is very strong.
