Can from the brewery.
Poured into a Welly nonic. Pale golden brew, vigorous carbonation, and sporting an inch of foam that recedes slowly into a thick ring with loads of lace.
Nose is certainly very grainy, definitely getting the rye here. Malted grain husks, straw, a bit of honey and what I imagine are noble hops.
Tasty kolsch that definitely weighs heavy on the grain side of things. Mild rye spiciness, noble hop bitterness to the finish. Nothing spectacular, but perhaps I'm just thirsty as hell, it's doing the trick for me.
Lighter bodied, a bit watery, moderately high carbonation.
Decent local kolsch; the rye adds an interesting twist to the style.

On tap at the Steam Whistle Summer fest. A basic beer, hits the style. Some rye, bit not significant. A little head on a medium yellow coloured body. So-so drinkability. Worth having once. More taste would be good, but I can live with it if nothing better available.
