Coopersville Brewing Co.

I have visited half a dozen times so I figured time for a review. The seating area is spacious and inviting. The surfaces are solid so it may be a little loud if crowded but on my visits (afternoons) it wasn’t overly crowded. The section is usually around a dozen brews with most being solid but not exceptional. I have noticed their newer introductions are getting better; which in my opinion is essential. It is worth a visit and I’m glad it’s there as it fills an area between Muskegon and Grand Rapids with a solid brewery. The food comes from a separate order area to the west of seating area. The BBQ is is considerably above average and I have enjoyed the Brisket chili, pulled pork sandwich and the brisket. Nice place.

We stopped here at mid-afternoon on a Friday to try their beers. The place was not busy. It is located on a commercial street and it shares the building with a restaurant (access to buth businesses thru an open foyer). The building is easily accessed just off I-96, and there is plenty of parking. The interior is a large open space with plenty of tables. The bar has seating for about 10 people. There is a fenced patio to one side of the building. Beers are ordered at the counter, and service was good. We liked the vibe.

We ordered a sampler flight of 5 beers (14 were available plus 2 ciders and a seltzer). Each was brewed to style, but some went beyond style and others were just okay. Our overall rating was a 3.70 score.

Restaurant access is just past the foyer. The menu focuses on BBQ and burgers selections. We didn't order anything since we had lunch at the last place we visited. Soft drinks are available for the non-beer drinkers. Some cans and growlers are available to go.

Daytime stop, not busy at all. Food is from One Eyed Pete's just a walk across the foyer. Decent selection of beers, I'm not a big fan of Imperial Stouts but theirs is my new favorite.
