Billed as a "West Coast Pilsner"
Very hop forward
Enjoyed on draft at Inner Voice and snagged a 4 pack to go. This review is based off of the 16 oz can.
Look: Golden, pale-straw body with nice eggshell lacing as I drink.
Smell: Has that distinct biscuity yeast scent that I've had in other IV Lagers. Grapefruit, slight lemon zest hop notes.
Taste: Bubblegum, slightly bitter grapefruit, slightest black pepper alcoholic spice on the finish. Very hop forward but not in an abrasive way (like an over the top Double IPA might), which is what makes this beer so inviting.
Feel: Quaffable, light medium bodied. Perfect summer beer.
Overall: One of the better Pilsner beers I've had in some time. Perfect exercise in a a beer being "hoppy" but not overwhelming...another great offering from this brewery.
