Uncle Fuzzy is the man who built Crooked Label Brewing Company. He is also our open-mic Host. It's a traditional Northwest IPA. Piney and woodsy with hints of Grapefruit notes. It is hop forward but balanced with a great malt character. We added eight different hop additions to this beer.

Poured from a growler into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a medium coppery amber with a one finger white head with good retention and nice lacing. Aroma of biscuit malt, piney and citru hops, grapefruit, pine a little dankness; somewhat woody. Flavor is biscuit malt, piney and citrus hops, grapefruit, pine needles, a hint of caramel, pine wood. Solid bitterness in the finish. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess. A malty IPA harking bock to the early classic IPAs of the West Coast with deep color and malt that leans to the English styles. This one was dry hopped with CTZ and that combo dominates the flavor profile, although there are other fruit and dank notes hovering around. I'm a fan of both biscuit malt and pine in my IPAs and this one delivers. It's always nice to run across this style that is not that common any more with paler, crisper malts currently more common. A fairly assertive bitterness sealed the deal. Enjoyable.
