version one, epic can art, some heady hops in this, a session hazy but still a ton of creamy body to it, even kind of filling, no sacrifice here at all with the lower abv, my first beer from sabbatical, wont be my last, pretty impressive, nice and fresh, bold but not green or overdone at all, and it sticks with me and my palate in a good way, a nice pregamer before heading into lambeau! they apparently use wisconsin hops in this too, which is unique. the first sip of this one is pretty striking, the hops are intense enough to sort of suck the moisture out of my mouth, but then my mouth kind of waters for more of the candy-like citrusy hops, kaffir lime leaf, key lime, clementine, and even like a fresh spicy radish sort of punch, real interesting, and not without some bitterness, but nothing is forced. some dankness in this, oily for sure, and it doesnt feel anywhere near as light as it really is. wheaty and a little raw on the grain side, perhaps not insanely well refined, but the hop profile is unique and agreeable to me and i dont mind it being a little rugged. definitely a juice bomb but also far from being one dimensional, which rules. a little filling, spicy and grippy towards the bottom of the can, real enjoyable.
