Picked this one up while in Augsburg. Wasn't a great find or anything. I had much better Bier in Augsburg than this but here it goes....
Pours up a medium bubble head that billos nicely over a gold color that showed a slight haze. THe aroma featured soft tones with hints of grain. The yeast came through with a mild sulfur aroma dn the hops were mild but crisp and can be described as spicy and minty. The flavor was very well balanced and if anything toward sweetness. It has anice light body with out being to thin. The Bier finishes quick with a little bitterness on the backend. Soft malt flavor dominates and small amounts of grain can be detected. The hops are mild and a little spicy and nicely tucked in the Bier. I havent said much negative about this Bier because it is very drinkable. But when I think of other Pils this one is good but middle of the road.
Zum Wohl!

Purchased at a gas station just down the highway from where it was brewed, this brew comes in a brown 33cl stubby with a bulge in the neck and a white, silver and gold label featuring the silhouette of a soldier from the 30 years war waving a flag with the brewery's name on it. Purity law applies, of course. Best before 7/7/7, I opened it on 4/11/07.
Pours a clear straw gold under a 1/2 finger off-white head that fades quickly to film and collar. No lace. The nose is very sweet of malt with a touch of spice. The mouth is light and very prickly. The bready malt opening is followed by rather tinny hops bitter. The bitterness lasts fairly well, but is quite mild. Overall, a pretty non-descript product.
