I am trying this beer off the tapper at the brewery as part of a five sample flight. It poured a rich dark amber, nearly opaque. It had a thick frothy off white head that left a spotty lace. The scent had subtle sweet malt with ginger highlights. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink. There was sweet molasses flavor through the drink which balanced the ginger spice. The mouthfeel was medium in body with good carbonation. Overall it was a good beer.
