A brand new brewery in the Heights. On Shepherd, north of I-10. Being the closest brewery to me, its also the most awkward to get to, as people in the Heights will have to go down to I-10 then back track up Shepherd...its just awkward to ride a bike or walk here as well. Really not their fault, just an observation. Inside is simple, with a bar and tables scattered. Brewing equipment can be seen as well, and an area outside with picnic tables over asphalt, that will be boiling hot in the summer. Just kind of a generic neighborhood brewery. Service is efficient, and seems to make chit chat with a bunch of people sitting at the bar, which is all fine.
Selection is about 10 taps now. Ranging from an English Dark Mild to Stouts/Porters and NEIPA's. I found the Dark Mild and Brown Ale not to my liking, at all, and cause of that didn't feel compelled to try anything else at the moment. Traditional English styles are some of my favorites, and was a little let down by those, both seemed flat and one noted to me. To be fair the Brown is categorized as American, but still there is an unmistakable old bottled Englishness to it with the malt and oxidized character.
On a second visit, some of the IPA's I have had are muddled and not very vibrant either. Not going to be a brewery I visit all that often.
