I dont even see this beer listed on the Indian Wells website! Never seen it before so thought a $1.50 single would be worth a try. 12 oz bottle pours a fairly clear red-copper color with a small cap of tan head. Not much for retention and lacing, but it is actually a pretty good looking glass of brew.
Nose is caramely and toasty with a moderate sweetness. Little bit of alcohol and hops are undetectable. Pretty clean, only a touch of yeasty fruit.
Not bad…Indian Wells decides to take one of the harder styles to brew and turns out one of their best offerings, go figure. The caramel and toast are simplistic and really the only players on the flavor, but the lager is crisp and clean, mildly sweet and finishes dry. An easy drinker with a fair amount of flavor, worth a try for the ever-curious beer tracker.

Poured from a bottle into a pint glass.
Look - amber in color, clear, with good carbonation and about half a finger's worth of light khaki-colored foam that dissipates somewhat quickly.
Smell - sweet, maybe a little fruity.
Taste and Mouthfeel - malty, sweet, and maybe a little floral. The initial effect is a bit of a musky bite at the back of the tongue. Then there's a bit of a sweetness felt in the back, and then an almost phenolic bite in the finish. Taste is interesting. Mouthfeel is pretty well-balanced, not too creamy or too watery.
Overall - not a bad beer. Somewhat interesting in taste. Not bad-tasting.
