16oz tallboy can courtesy of Russpowell. No obvious canning date. Label indicates it was brewed with Citra Incognito, Ella and Topaz hops.
When poured, this beer was a hazy shade of tangerine, with a big, creamy looking eggshell-white head. Said head dropped unevenly, like a melting serving of ice cream. Lots of lace.
Sharp, citrusy hop nose. There's an aroma that's a little bit like stonefruit as well.
Dry, bitter citrus fruit-like flavor up front, with a more mellow, tropical fruity taste at the mid-point. Finish is dry and rind-y. At no point is the high abv obvious in the taste.
Medium bodied, with a soft yet dry mouth feel.
A little too dry and bitter for something I'd like to session, but I'm enjoying it tonight after dinner as a single serving beer. At 9.5% abv, this would be a mistake to session in any case. Interesting they call it a triple IPA, when I've always felt 10% is the cut off between double and triple. The other day I had a 10+% beer labeled the opposite way, oddly enough. I wonder if there's an abv cap in Arkansas? Anyway, I'm enjoying this. Thanks, Russ!

Pours an effervescent and hazy gold with one finger+ of cream colored head. Pretty good head retention & lacing
S: Pineapple, other tropical fruits
T: Grapefruit, pineapple, passion fruit & green melon up front. Pineapple, Pomelo, & Green Melon, once the beer warms a bit, Finishes with grapefruit, pineapple, passion fruit & guava & just a kiss of lime
MF: Medum body, fairly firm carbonation, good balance.
Super drinkability, ABV is very well hidden, pretty darn juicy
