I guess Black IPA/Cascadian is no longer a style, bah.. This one is made in collaboration with Memphis Brewer Soul & Spirits Brewing
Pours a very ruddy hazel/chestnut with a thumb of tan head. Good lacing & decent head retention
S: A little woodiness, banana laffy taffy, some cakey notes once warm
T: Pretty dry, piney, cakeyness, hints of other woody hops up front. Pineyness, a little cakeyness, dryness once this beer is warm, some strange green banana notes. Finishes sweet, piney & dry
MF: Medium/beefy bodied with restrained carbonation
Very picky on my Black IPAs, this one doesn't make the cut
