Gorgeous beer: pale straw yellow color, absolutely crustal clear, with fantastic head production, retention, and lacing.
Big, big, BIG explosive WC aroma! Pine, resin, moderate to strong herbal dankness, stone fruit, ruby red grapefruit, lemon zest, grape. Little noticeable malt presence.
Flavor follows. It's floral, juicy, and bright, with a modest amount of malt base sweetness but an ample amount of hop bitterness for crisp balance. Same tasting and aroma notes.
This is a tough beer to rate. It's an updated, modern take on the WC-style IIPA, honoring the style's roots while managing to find something new to present. It's not perfect, and it's a touch too sweet - a sweetness that when combined with the hop expression borders on cloying. It could use more bitterness (believe it or not), but easily boasts enough to worthily carry the classification of Imperial West Coast India Pale Ale. Really, really darn good - excellent, really.

Pours a chill-hazed gold with 2 fingers of cream-colored head. Nice lacing & average-ish head retention
S: Green melons, tropical fruit, oranges
T: Follows the nose, dryness, pomelo up front. A little dryness, lime & green melon as this beer warms up, sweet oranges & passion fruit. Finishes with pomelo, a little lime & dryness
MF: Medium body, crisp carbonation, good balance
A little too not Old School as West Coat DIPAs go, still pretty drinkable. When you call a certain style, I am gonna some ding you some for getting a little crazy scent & flavor-wise
