Pronounced "Sigh-yer-i-day. The word refers to the family to which Kent's mischievous black squirrels belong. Sci-uri-dae is a German-style black lager which benefits from extended aging to smooth and marry flavors derived from a variety of dark malts. Often called a black pilsner, it's flavor is crisp and roasty, but never burnt. This variation has subtle chocolate notes that may surprise you.

Taster at brewery. Dark, clear brown pour, filmy head. Roasty aroma with a light sweetness. Taste is cola, roasty malts, bitter, dry, mouth coating. Not quite there

Clear coffee brown with a thin khaki head dying to a fine collar.
Leafy and woody with a fairly bitter bite of toasty coffee bean char, it teases being refreshing but dries up the palate fairly strongly afterwards, exhaling a tobacco roast.
The medium body starts crisp then comes to a softer froth before that super dry finish.
