American-style Barleywines are a delightful exploration of excess. Brewed with 1000 pounds of malt and 100 IBUs, this beer is as generous in flavor, aromatics and bitterness, as it is soothing in warmth.

Darker amber, nearing red, with a khaki head that settles to a creamy, fluid ridge.
Oh wow, this veers very close to my palate memory of Arrogant Bastard, though less harsh. It’s got pine resins, a catty pungency and some toffee ribbons, but it’s softer and smoother, almost syrupy, verging very close to dangerously crushable. It also develops some bruleed oats as it warms.
I’m a rare bird who enjoys this profile, but can see it being a bit off-putting for others. Still, it's right on style.

Taster at Bell Tower. Light copper pour, patchy head, streaky lacing. Boozy, malty aroma, toffee. Taste is strong and dry, caramel, sweet, a bit harsh
