Copenhagen 24/1 2026. 44 cl can from Meny, Borups Allé. Frb. F. Some sinister looking Elfin lord on the can with a peculiar red face color.
Pours opaque dark brown with a mid-sized off-white head. Stable. Settles as a paper-thin layer of foam stretching to cover the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is intense with a rich odor of dark malts and coffee of the sweet variety. Brown sugar and dark roasted malts. Lactose. Bitter espresso peeking in.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, almost flat texture.
Flavor is rather intense with a fairly strong sweetness followed by a moderately strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet with a sharp bitter edge. Lingers for a while. Finish is rather dry.
Coffee porter with a sugary touch - but the bitter coffee wins out in the end.
