Had Yo Llama So Phat poured from pint can, no date, but purchased at the brewery on April 19, 2025, into nonic pint.
Pours apparently deep brown but murky orange with lots of floaties when backlit, with 1 & 1/2-finger, rather creamy, near-white head, with excellent retention, leaving thick, overlapping rings of lace down the glass. There are aromas of orange and lime off pour, with the lime growing, along with cardboard aroma, as warms, and finally sweet berry and hop spice aromas. On tasting, begins with a burst of lime, then sweet berries, but growing cardboard as warms, with some sweet peach, a lot of citrus zest, and more sweet berries and finally tarter peach as warms, before a moderately dry but not bitter, ever more cardboard finish.
Apparently oxidized, and I opened three cans from a 4-pk. I would not have reviewed based on that sampling, but I emailed the brewery, and the brewery never acknowledged the email, made no statement on social media, and is still selling the packaged product at its taproom. May be a good beer if the brewery gets its canning line in order, and starts respecting its customers.
